Behind a two-goal performance from senior Danielle Forword, third-ranked North Carolina defeated No. 16 Ohio State 4-1 Saturday afternoon in the first round of NCAA Tournament play at Wake Forest’s Kentner Stadium. UNC improved to 17-2 with the win and advanced to a second-round game on Sunday.
