Tar Heels Finish Eighth At Seahawk Intercollegiate

The University of North Carolina men’s golf team finished eighth in the Seahawk Intercollegiate after the final round of play was canceled due to a winter storm and the second round results were made final. The Tar Heels were led by sophomore Matt Raudenbush who finished play in a tie for 24th place at six-over par. Carolina shot a 35-over-par 611 team total. Augusta State, the only team to shoot under par through two rounds won the team title.

Carolina Men’s Golf In Eighth At Seahawk Intercollegiate

After two rounds of play, the University of North Carolina men’s golf team is in eighth place at the Seahawk Intercollegiate. Sophomore Matt Raudenbush fired an even-par 72 in the second round, for the team’s lowest score thus far in the tournament. Going into Tuesday’s final round of play, the Tar Heels trail Augusta State University by 42 strokes.

The Tar Heel Men’s Golf Team Begins Their Spring Season

The Tar Heel men’s golf team begins its spring season March 1-2 when it travels to Wilmington, N.C., to play in the Seahawk Intercollegiate. The 54-hole event will be played at the Country Club of Landfall which features a par 72, 7,050-yard layout.

Tar Heels Finish Sixth At UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate

After a record-setting, nine-under-par 63 in the second round, Tar Heel golfer Jack Fields had to settle for a tie for second place at the UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate. As a team, the Tar Heels improved over the last round, moving from ninth to sixth with the help of strong final-day performances from Fields, junior Henry Zaytoun III and senior David Holzworth.
