UNC Places Second At Maryland

North Carolina took second place Sunday in a tri-meet with Maryland and Bowling Green, moving to 7-1 on the season. The Heels posted a team total of 193.125, between Maryland with 194.475 and Bowling Green with 191.500. Junior Elizabeth Durkac broke two personal bests and took first place overall scoring a 39.150.

Tar Heels Win Home Opener

The Tar Heels won their home opener Sunday against William & Mary. The Heels beat the Tribe 193.425-189.450 at the annual Pink & Blue Meet in Carmichael Arena.

Tar Heels To Host Annual Pink & Blue Meet

Carolina will host William & Mary in its home opener Sunday at 2 p.m. in Carmichael Arena. The Tar Heels have teamed with the Get REAL & HEEL program to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and will be health fair beginning at 12:30 pm on the concourse. Fans are encouraged to wear Carolina Blue and/or pink to the meet.

Tar Heels Take First at Lindsey Ferris Invitational

The University of North Carolina finished first overall with a score of 192.650 at the Lindsey Ferris invitational hosted by George Washington University Sunday. The Heels won the invitational for the tenth time in a row. The six-team meet also included Penn, Cornell, William & Mary, and Temple. The Tar Heels had the highest combined scores on uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
