The North Carolina softball team recognized five senior at their senior day celebration on Sunday, April 19 before the Tar Heels took on Virginia Tech.
The juniors put together a little piece for each senior that played when the seniors and their families met head coach Donna J. Papa at home plate. The audio clips from the senior day celebration can be found below along with a link to a photo gallery from the event.

The University of North Carolina’s historic Carmichael Auditorium is undergoing a massive remodeling project that will turn it into one of the nation’s finest basketball facilities. The North Carolina rowing team handed out season awards at its annual banquet Friday, with the members of the varsity eight honored as the squad’s MVP’s. Included in that boat were senior coxswain Shannon Wilson, sophomore Kelsey Grich, senior Kasey Munson, junior Megan McMullin, senior Eugenia Delbono, senior Ruby Woodside, senior Whitney Hileman, junior Andi Drabot and senior Katie Wood.

Clay Donato and Taylor Fogleman were selected to play in the individual portion of the NCAA Championships on Wednesday after both posted excellent seasons in singles and doubles. The pair received an at-large bid in doubles after finishing the season ranked just outside the top 16 at No. 17. Donato, who is ranked 32nd in singles, also got an at-large bid for that portion of the tournament, while Fogleman will serve as a singles alternate after finishing the year No. 63 in the nation.
